For any application or other data included on your CD-ROM, DVD-ROM or Enhanced CD master for which you or your organization does not own the copyright, trademark, and/or patent, you must provide Raintree with accurate documentation from the actual owner which specifically states that you or your organization is authorized to reproduce and/or distribute said data.
This includes, but is not limited to, all 'freeware' & 'shareware'. The fact that these items may be freely available for download from the internet is NOT an implication that they are also freely available for you or your organization to reproduce and/or distribute. Microsoft Internet Explorer and Netscape Navigator are relatively easy to obtain. Your first step should be to personally contact each copyright owner.
While this may seem like a hassle, it is required, and Raintree will not make any exceptions to this policy. Be advised that we thoroughly check all submitted data masters and compare the contents to the accompanying content disclosure forms and attachments. Any order on which we can not verify the ownership of any data, or on which documentation is incomplete, will be put on immediate hold until the issue is resolved by you, the customer. |
