Enhanced CD
any disc that includes both standard audio tracks and data; also known as Blue Book, CD-I, CD-G, CD+ and CD-Extra, among others. Current uses include adding multimedia, web sites, mp3 & RealAudio files, photos and song lyrics

Audio CD encoded so song title and other info displays on text-capable CD players
Hybrid CD
data only disc; contains two separate sectors; one is readable on Mac; the other on PC
over/under (+/-)
the number of CDs above or below the actual ordered quantity; over/under quantities are billed/credited on a per/unit basis; acceptable over/under tolerances depend on quantity ordered
silk screen printing
the method used for applying an image on the surface of a molded CD; can be 1 or more spot colors or a 4 color process (CMYK)

the method used for applying an image on the surface of a short run CD-R; can be black or color
panels/pages
panel refers to paper and folds; page refers to print. For example, a 1panel/2page insert is a 4.75" x 4.75" piece of paper printed on both sides. A 2panel/4page insert is 9.5" x 4.75", printed on both sides and folded once

bulk CDs
refers to compact discs with no external packaging
Pantone or spot colors
specific color inks used in silk screening discs; instead of creating a blue out of 100% cyan and 80% magenta, Pantone colors are pre-mixed and lay down solid, without the mesh apparent when multiple inks are screened toegther
stamper
the item, specific to a given project, that is used in the molding process to create the pits and valleys on a CD that translate into the stored data
